ConsoleShelf Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
Information stored locally
ConsoleShelf stores command names, command text, and the selected theme in chrome.storage.local on the user's current Chrome profile. This information is used only to provide the extension's command-saving, editing, searching, import, export, and execution features.
No transmission or tracking
ConsoleShelf does not transmit stored commands or settings to the developer or any third party. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, accounts, or remote servers. The extension requests only the storage permission and does not request host access.
Command execution
When the user explicitly presses Enter in ConsoleShelf's RUN input, the current command text is passed to Chrome's DevTools inspected-page execution API for the tab whose DevTools window is open. Selecting a command or opening the RUN input does not execute it.
Import, export, and deletion
Import reads only the JSON file selected by the user. Export creates a JSON file chosen by the user. ConsoleShelf never uploads imported or exported data.
Users can delete individual commands in ConsoleShelf or remove all locally stored extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing its extension storage.
Limited Use
ConsoleShelf's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
